Findings are recorded with these EN 13508-2 defect types. The AI proposes the most common surface defects (such as corrosion, deposits, blockages and standing water); the inspector adds the other types. Every finding is confirmed before the report.

- GDPR-compliant
- We process data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation. Data export and deletion on request.

- The database, videos and reports are stored on Hetzner servers in Helsinki.
- Encryption & 2FA
- Traffic is encrypted (TLS), and sensitive fields such as 2FA secrets are encrypted in the database. Two-factor authentication is available to every user.
- Daily backups
- The database is backed up automatically every day, and the backups are kept for 14 days.
- Openly measured AI
- The AI’s quality is measured on videos the model has never seen, and the results are published on the Features page.

We do not publish validation scores from our own training data. We measure the finished product on videos the model has never seen, against the labels of an inspector.

How it was measured
34 field videos were kept entirely out of model training. An EN 13508-2 inspector marked the defect spots, and every AI finding was compared with those marks. The confidence interval is computed per video.
Why not 100%?
In published studies even experienced inspectors miss about a quarter of defects and code the same defect differently (Dirksen et al. 2013). The AI is a second pair of eyes, not a judge.
